Mrs. B’s Board Cancer Compassion Design: A short time ago, my coworker Kristen spent a month in the antepartum unit before delivering her youngest child at just 34 weeks. While caring for her newborn at the age of 32, Kristen found a lump while breastfeeding. What followed was a whirlwind of appointments that led to a devastating diagnosis: triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer.

Kristen has exhausted her PTO and medical leave due to her earlier extended hospital stay. Now, she faces the fight of her life—with a newborn in her arms and three other little ones who need their mom. I created this design in hopes of surprising her with the much needed help she deserves and giving all of you a great patch representing all forms and fights for cancer.
